Like James Crickmore, passionate supporters of Manchester United will be watching very closely to see which transfers are made before the transfer window closes in September. Fans are waiting to see if any new major signings will be made by the club’s new manager, David Moyes, and so far there has been very little to report.

The signing of major players, most notably Cesc Fabregas, would show Moyes’ intent on bringing new talent to the club, and clearly the transfer of such talented world-class players would be welcomed. But this is not to say that Manchester United actually needs any new talent, and many hold the opinion that major signings are not that necessary.

David Moyes already has a very strong team, with talent from all ends of the age spectrum. The veteran players of the club are still proving their worth, with the ageing Ryan Giggs still performing extremely well, albeit unable to play for entire matches. The experience of the veterans is supported by a roster of talented new players in Manchester United’s youth system, and the squad is currently very flexible, with many players able to act in different positions. This will be very useful to Moyes as he works out the positioning of his new team for next season.

The real problem however is Fabregas. The team wants him, but it looks unlikely that the team will get him, much to the disappointment of fans and players. He is a superior talent and his addition to United’s lacklustre midfield would provide the boost in talent and the boost in confident that the team would need moving into next season. After all, this will be the first season without Ferguson at the helm, and though Moyes is definitely the right choice as manager this does little to counteract the nerves of a squad who have relied on the drive and work of the world’s most respected football manager.

So far no transfers have been made. James Crickmore believes David Moyes needs to make his own mark as manager and set himself apart from Sir Alex, as a new manager capable of making his own decisions. He must carve out a legacy of his own at this prestigious club, and if he wants to focus on what the club currently has then no one can blame him.

Charities struggle in hard times

Local fundraisers Brighter Sines have vowed to raise more money for local children’s hospitals and hospices this year, to help the children of our local communities.

Set up in July 2013 by Maurice Sines and James Crickmore, to bring awareness and offer help and comfort to those around us. Without help and support charities and hospices far too often find themselves in hard times. All money donated to Brighter Sines, is given directly to each cause. Unlike other charities, no percentage is taken for admin.

Maurice Sines said, ‘ We believe charity should start at home and with the communities around us’.

So far Brighter Sines have visited Basildon University hospital’s accident and emergency department to hand out some much needed toys, to brighten up their visit. They have given money to Alamanda’s Therapy animals, who help support the terminally ill. Rettendon Primary school as well as 3 year old Finley Ranson, Battlesbridge. Who suffers from a rare eating disorder Eosinophilic Enterocolitis, which means he is unable to eat normal foods without having an extreme allergic reaction.

Money raised has so far come from various events held, a fund day last September held in Wickford raised £1200. Which included an appearance from Chas & Dave cockney singer, Chas Hodges, who sang into the evening. A Christmas dinner and swing night held, raised £684. As well as various raffles, coffee and cake mornings.

James Crickmore said, ‘ Everyone is willing to send money abroad, which is great, but they can forget about improving our childrens education in schools. Or helping hospices give care to the disabled. We will do more to help our children, but we ask for the support and awareness from our local communities and businesses.

On Saturday 28th September, Brighter Sines held a fun day at Hayes Country Park. One of our events was a big balloon race. 
We sold just over 60 tickets for the event, balloons were released at 4pm later that day. After much anticipation, the responses started to arrive back. And the winner was- Barbara Woods, at Hayes Country Park. Who has informed us that the prize money of £50 was split between her 2 grandchildren. James Crickmore and Maurice Fred Sines hosted and supported the entire event. As Maurice Fred Sines and James Crickmore are co founders of BrighterSines, they had the pleasure of releasing the balloons on the day. Although the sun didn't shine all day, at least it didn't rain.

Basics of snooker

he basics of snooker are well known, as this popular game is played all over the world by both professionals and hobby players like James Crickmore. The game involves the use of 22 different balls on a baize-covered table. A white cue ball is used to hit the other balls into the pockets on the table. The other balls consist of 15 red balls and six balls that are all different colors. Each color corresponds with a points value; in descending order, those values are 7 points for black, 6 for pink, 5 for blue, 4 for brown, 3 for green, and 2 for yellow.

Players usually find a way to determine who is to go first; this is done traditionally with a coin toss. On the first move, the player has to cause the cue ball to connect with a red ball. If he succeeds, he continues playing and must next cause the cue ball to come into contact with one of the colored balls. He must alternate this way until the balls are all gone. If he should fail, it is the next player’s turn. When there are still red balls on the table, then players should return any potted colored balls to their original position on the table.

When the red balls are all gone from the table, then things become even more interesting for players like James Crickmore; they must then pot the lowest to highest value colored balls, in sequence, until the table is cleared. The player with the highest score at the end of the game wins.

The game may sound complex, but there are a few simple things players can do in order to improve their game exponentially. These tips usually involve adjustments to the physical stance and grip. The goal is to get to the point where the cue is always on a straight level plane with the line of the desired shot. This can only be done if a grip is relaxed but not too loose, in order to maintain control of the cue more effectively. Another thing James Crickmore tries is keeping a good stance – balance is important in order to control the shot more effectively. These and other things are all simple tips that can be used to improve a beginning player’s game.

There are numerous ways in which to improve your snooker skills. James Crickmore states that the more conventional way is to put in approximately 10,000 hours of practice. This allows for a player to become as good as the players he is surrounded by, but ultimately such player will reach a plateau.

A plateau is the skill you are now limited with and it can be very strenuous to try and exceed this limit. It takes determination, tenacity and lots of practice to reach a new level of skill. The reason is quite straight forward. When your game is as good as other players’, you will believe that this level is your absolute best. To the contrary, when you decide to up your game and surround yourself with players who achieve centuries all the time, you are subconsciously adopting the necessary skills you need to up your snooker capabilities.

James Crickmore knows that children as young as 10-years are able to achieve centuries in snooker – but how would you go about this concept if you are not 10-years old and thus do not possess the mind equal to a sponge? By exposing yourself to players who achieve centuries and to believe that you are capable of achieving it as well. Subconscious mind!

The best example to support the theory is no other than Roger Bannister and his achievement of the 4-minute mile. Nobody could execute this before, but once Roger Bannister achieved it, the number of people who followed suit continued to grow.

First of all, you have to get your mind into a “theta” state. This is a state of the mind where it is easier to absorb actions and information. To achieve a theta state, you have to be relaxed and what better way than to have a hot shower or bath? Have you ever wondered why the best ideas are born while in the shower? This is why. The same can happen for you to improve your snooker skills. Theta brainwaves help you to learn new skills faster. While being in the correct frame of mind, you will be able to absorb suggestions as to exactly how you can achieve century after century and surpass your plateau.

For serious snooker players such as James Crickmore, this is surely worth a shot.

The club has attracted these fans through their long history and tradition; the history of the club dates back to 1878, when Manchester United was known as the Newton Health LYR Football Club. The club adopted its present nomenclature in 1902 and has climbed the ranks to become one of the most

Welcome to our website, we live in Essex and have a passion for animals.  We want to share our passion for animals with you.  Our animals are used as therapy animals with the sick, needy and terminally ill.  We have an understanding of the needs of the autistic child and know how important sensory experiences with animals are, so if you have an autistic child and would like to come visit please contact us.

We do therapy trips to special needs school's, hospices, charity events and also for single family visits.  We are a non profit making charity and therefore only asked for donations towards are costs.  We are extremely proud of our animals and the difference they make wherever they go.  Applause our tiny white American Miniature horse has been doing these indoor therapy trips since the Autumn of 2007 - and he is a total hit wherever he goes.
 
We also breed stunning Bengal cats to help us fund our work.  Our menagerie includes also a Leonberger dog, 2 miniature horses, 1 larger pony,1 donkey 2 mini Rex rabbits and 4 pet fancy rats as well as a very special cat.  Our animals are our passion but they are also very much part of our family and the first thing we consider is what their temperament is and how they will fit in.

We are a local charity helping to support the children of the South East.

We focus on giving help, support and comfort to our children when it is most needed. Maurice Sines and James Crickmore, set up the charity in July 2013 in order to help look after the local children of our communities.

Our aim is to raise money for local hospitals, hospices, children’s charities and other groups where it is most needed. From buying toys for a hospital ward to buying equipment for children’s hospices. Something so small like a teddy can give a child great comfort, whilst in hospital.
